Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments, ensuring all required forms are completed accurately.
  • Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and organizing necessary medical instruments.

  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations by handing instruments and providing patient education.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis or blood draws, and prepare samples for processing.
  • Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate referrals and schedule follow-up appointments for patients.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or outpatient setting preferred.
