Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and prepare patients for treatments
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Ensure sterile maintenance of examination rooms and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
