Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and update medical records accurately.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Preparation: Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Admin Support: Schedule appointments, process laboratory specimens, and assist with billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certification: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) credential preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
