Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including accurate measurement of vital signs and medical history collection.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and point-of-care testing accurately.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure the exam rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized according to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred, but recent graduates are welcome.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
