Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, height) and medical history collection.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Manage patient intake, insurance verification, and electronic health record updates.
- Coordinate specialist referrals and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong computer and typing skills.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
