Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and health history documentation
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain supplies
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Process lab specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests
- Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to flexible rotating shifts
- Illinois Medical Assistant certification preferred
