Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient intake processes, including accurate vital signs and medical history collection.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures to ensure a seamless clinical workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile examination room environment.
- Perform basic point-of-care testing and prepare laboratory specimens for analysis.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventative health measures.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with the front desk team.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
