Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance details, and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine vital sign measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
- Prepare treatment rooms and medical equipment for patient examinations.
- Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory tests as directed by the provider.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance (if required for clinic duties).
