Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with examinations and treatments.
- Record patient medical history, symptoms, and treatment information.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Instruct patients about medications and home care.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by a physician.
- Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CMAA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
