Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their personal information and insurance details upon arrival.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with attire and positioning.
- Record vital signs, medical history, and symptoms accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations by handing instruments and materials.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood draws, following strict safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and sanitized.
- Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
