Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims using Epic EMR systems
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all payers
- Appeal denied claims with supporting documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient/provider communication
- Analyze aging reports and prioritize collections
- Train on new billing protocols quarterly
Qualifications
- 2+ years medical billing experience with commercial payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
- Strong data entry skills with 10,000+ KPH accuracy
- Experience with denial analysis and trending reports
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
