Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service rendering
- Follow up on denied claims with strategic appeals and documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing standards
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Utilize Epic EMR system for efficient charge entry and coding
- Generate monthly reports on denial rates and reimbursement trends
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in physician practice or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with electronic claim submission systems (e.g., Availity)
