- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging statements
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document coding requirements
- Update patient billing records in EHR systems
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance protocols
- Expertise in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or NextGen)
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
