Responsibilities
- Process prescription refill requests accurately and efficiently in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Retrieve, prepare, and package medications for dispensing under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Greet customers, verify patient information, and resolve any inquiries regarding prescriptions or healthcare products.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and performing stock replenishment duties.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for cash transactions and insurance processing.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflow and improve patient service times.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT required).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with POS systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as necessary.
- Valid Driver's License (if required for delivery duties).
