Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, documenting all findings accurately in the EMR.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in compliance with all hospital policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
