Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions in electronic health records (EHR)
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse license (RN)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- Minimum 1-2 years clinical experience in acute care or specialty unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
