Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units with focus on assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress, document electronic health records accurately, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing with Colorado Board of Nursing
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 1-2 years acute care experience in medical-surgical setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
