Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessment, care planning, and intervention across diverse medical-surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient transitions
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning protocols
- Adhere to evidence-based practices, infection control standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to unit performance metrics
- Maintain professional growth through continuing education and skill development
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license with unrestricted status
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years acute care experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred based on unit assignment
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care nursing experience in medical-surgical or specialty area
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and clinical documentation best practices
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management abilities
