Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, reporting any changes immediately.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical care situations.
- Provide patient and family education to promote health literacy and recovery.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred based on specialty unit.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure team setting.
- Proven ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
