Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all actions.
- Monitor patient vital signs, observe symptoms, and report changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Participate in unit meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education programs.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist with life-saving measures as necessary.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred depending on specialty.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
