Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition or adverse reactions immediately.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care at home.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting patients if necessary.
