Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and psychological status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all actions and patient responses.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, promptly reporting any changes or adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate and appropriate nursing interventions.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in an acute care or similar setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
