Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, promptly reporting changes to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and patient privacy.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely, effective interventions.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care or specialized setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Demonstrated strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
