Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all actions.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, collaborating with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, providing support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, promoting a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as an RN, preferably in acute care or a similar setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work varied part-time shifts, including some weekends or evenings.
