Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Monitoring and assessing patient health conditions, documenting observations and changes accurately.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educating patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Operating and maintaining medical equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper function.
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate, life-saving care as per protocols.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care, long-term care, or relevant setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered and empathetic approach.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and comfortable with healthcare technology.
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including some evenings or weekends, based on departmental needs.
