Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and efficiently according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventative care measures.
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and other care team members to ensure coordinated patient management.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting all care provided and observations made.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition, promptly reporting any significant changes to the appropriate medical staff.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (acute care experience preferred).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong understanding of nursing principles and patient care standards.
