Responsibilities
- Assess patient health conditions and document accurate medical histories and assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient recovery progress and intervene immediately in case of medical emergencies.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety policies and infection control standards.
- Document all clinical activities in electronic health records (EHR) efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Kentucky (or compact state license).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
