Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage using clinical protocols and decision support tools
- Provide urgent care advice and determine appropriate level of medical intervention
- Document patient interactions accurately in Epic EHR system
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient transitions
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining empathy and efficiency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS/ACLS certification (current)
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently in a remote triage setting
- Flexibility to cover evenings/weekends as needed
