Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient triage assessments
- Collaborate with physicians to determine patient priority and treatment plans
- Document clinical encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Provide clear patient education on home care and follow-up protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and symptoms for critical changes
- Coordinate with ancillary departments for seamless patient flow
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Proficiency with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Spanish bilingualism preferred
