Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone triage assessments using clinical protocols to determine urgency of patient needs
- Provide evidence-based medical advice and instructions to patients across diverse age groups
- Accurately document patient encounters in electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all communications and documentation
- Identify and escalate high-risk cases according to established emergency protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage services
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- Certification in Telephone Triage (e.g., TNC, CENET) or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency in EHR systems with strong documentation skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated cultural competency
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
