Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize patient cases based on acuity and urgency following ESI guidelines
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators for seamless patient transitions
- Educate patients on appropriate care settings and self-management strategies
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and Hawaii state regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
