Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases in emergency settings
- Delicate accurate telephone triage for patient inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Document clinical findings and patient interactions in EHR systems
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up protocols
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum 2 years ED or urgent care experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems
- Ability to work 20-24 hours weekly (evenings/weekends)
- Strong critical thinking under pressure
