Responsibilities
- Accurately assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize cases based on acuity levels and communicate critical information to physicians
- Document patient encounters meticulously in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate care between departments and provide clear patient education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely interventions
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours with exceptional efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Proficient in telephone triage protocols and EMR documentation
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
