Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation with HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during stressful situations
- Follow established clinical protocols while adapting to dynamic emergency scenarios
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
- Support infection prevention and control measures in all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Strong assessment skills with ability to prioritize complex cases
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation techniques
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems or comparable platforms
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
