Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to prioritize emergency cases
- Provide accurate telephone triage for patients seeking urgent care guidance
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate patient disposition
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise clinical documentation
- Delicate patient education on self-care and next-step treatment protocols
- Coordinate care across departments to ensure seamless patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Georgia (GA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Part-time availability including weekends and holidays
