Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage using clinical judgment protocols
- Prioritize urgent cases and coordinate with emergency services as needed
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear patient education on home care and follow-up procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Handle high-volume call center inquiries during peak hours
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky (KYRN)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills in acute care settings
- Excellent verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends
