Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate patient disposition and care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with precise documentation
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members regarding care pathways
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid intervention skills
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure
