Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times and report any changes in health status to supervisors.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Provide friendly conversation, emotional support, and engage in recreational activities to reduce loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks, laundry, and errands to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or shopping as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain daily care logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Compassion & Empathy: A genuine desire to help others, patience, and a kind demeanor.
- CNA/PCA Certification: Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not always required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, geriatrics, or a related field is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully.
