Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process and verify insurance claims efficiently
- Maintain inventory control and medication stock levels
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all patient records
- Operate pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Collaborate with healthcare team on patient care initiatives
- Prepare IV medications and sterile compounds
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Valid Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
- Attention to detail with medication safety protocols
