Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions for completeness and accuracy
- Process insurance claims and manage inventory with automated systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on patient care plans and medication therapy
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Train on new technologies and maintain sterile compounding areas
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription drugs, dosages, and interactions
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
