Responsibilities
- Accurately verify prescription information and process new and refill orders in a timely manner.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing par levels.
- Assist the Pharmacist with medication compounding and preparation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phones, resolving inquiries, and managing patient profiles.
- Enter and update patient data into pharmacy management systems with 100% accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
- Assist with prior authorization requests and insurance verifications.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the PTCB or ExCPT is required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols at all times.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
