Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify medications with precision under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
- Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds following strict protocols
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with TSBP regulations and pharmacy policies
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience in retail or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
