Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, verify, and prepare prescription orders under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide excellent customer service at the pharmacy counter.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels for pharmaceutical supplies.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA privacy laws.
- Assist in the clean-up and organization of the pharmacy area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
