Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription fulfillment workflow including verification, labeling, and packaging
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise inventory control and ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing efficiently
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription tracking and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety awareness
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent required
