Responsibilities
- Verify prescription information for accuracy, completeness, and legality.
- Prepare and package prescription medications for distribution to patients.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and dispensing of drugs.
- Manage inventory levels, track stock, and order pharmaceutical supplies.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process payments.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software and computer systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations (HIPAA).
