Responsibilities
- Verify and process prescription orders with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and package medications for patient pickup and delivery in compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist the Pharmacist in compounding and dispensing drugs according to doctor's orders.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves to prevent stockouts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions regarding medications and insurance.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
