Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications according to prescriptions and protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education on medication use
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure optimal workflow and safety
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software systems
