Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance details for all prescriptions
- Maintain inventory control and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Prepare IV medications and sterile compounds in compliance with USP 797
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for dosage calculations
- Valid California driver's license (for delivery duties)
