Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, verify, and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, and mix medications.
- Prepare prescription labels and affix them to medication containers.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness and detect any potential drug interactions or errors.
- Manage inventory, including reordering medications and conducting monthly stock counts.
- Assist patients with understanding their medication instructions and insurance processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- Current state licensure as a Pharmacy Technician.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
