Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, prepare, and dispense prescription medications following all legal and safety regulations.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure proper billing and processing.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists with medication compounding and quality control checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient questions and resolving concerns regarding prescriptions.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or eligibility to sit for the exam.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software systems.
